My name is Kara Aliperto. I started in the Nursing Program at Warner Pacific in January 2023. I am originally from Minnesota and have my BS in Education (focused on Elementary Education.) After graduation I taught reading interventions to Kindergarten through 3rd graders. I also worked in the private business sector as well before moving to Portland as a senior product developer allowing me the opportunity to travel many areas of China. After I moved to Oregon I worked at Nike as a floating teacher for 0-5 year olds within their three primary care development centers. After the Nike childcare centers closed during Covid, I began my journey back to school for nursing. When I began the program at WPU I was fortunate enough to be able to work at the library. The staff and students that work at the library are fabulous and I am so glad to get the opportunity to learn more as I work here. I get the chance to meet so many other members of the campus and it makes me feel like I belong to the WP community.
