Open Educational Resources (OERs) are freely accessible, openly licensed texts, media and other digital formats used for teaching, learning and research. Users may use, re-mix, improve and redistribute OER materials under certain licenses, such as the Creative Commons license.

Types of open educational resources include full courses, course materials, modules, learning objects, open textbooks, openly licensed (often streamed) videos, tests, software, and other tools, materials, or techniques used to support access to knowledge.

WPU Library’s OER collections are harvested by librarians and evaluated by faculty to ensure that they are relevant and up to date for programs offered at the university.
